Victoria on hot streak - another record set today

Victoria, B.C. - Greater Victoria scored a hat trick of weather records today, as the hot temperature broke a daily weather record for the third day in a row.

According to Environment Canada’s website, the previous record high for June 4 was 28.3 degrees. This record was surpassed at approximately 3 p.m. this afternoon, when the temperature rose to 29 degrees.

Yesterday, temperatures reached a scorching 31.3 degrees, breaking the previous record high of 30.

Tuesday’s high of 30 broke the previous record of 27 degrees, set back in 1987.

The normal temperature for early June is a relatively cool 18 degrees.
