Eagles on the Internetz

Not far from us  (about two hours or so north) is a place called Hornsby Island, and some brave soul put a webcam up in an eagle's nest. A new chick just hatched on April 30th (a second one appears to have died while trying to emerge from the egg), and generally this is a cool way to spy on nature. Go have a look.

And before anyone asks, yes Hornby Island is part of Canada. We have lots of eagles up here and see them all the time. I don't think they birds themselves quite know they are supposed to be symbols of America and stay south of the border, but heck, from an eagle’s perspective it’s nicer up here. :)
