Of course there is bagpipes...it's Victoria! Piping Jingle Bells no less. :P I saw much of the parade lining up walking home after work. It was starting as I was about halfway home (we closed early for the parade) but I had to walk by a number of the floats to get home. This Saturday is another parade...the truck parade. I think there are also a few tree lighting ceremonies happening over the next week. And we are going to a special evening at Craigdarroch Castle next week (have you RSVP'd yet Chas?) because we have a family membership and we're special like that.

Turns out it’s a very diverse and interesting (and beautiful) place with history, culture, multiple political parties, a budget surplus (most of the time), eco-friendliness, world respect and a vision for the future.
We find that very attractive. We hope you will too.
